Mrs Marples also set Year Five a challenge to make an explosive volcano at Forest school. In teams the children gathered resources and set to work. As you can see we were all very impressed with the final explosive volcanoes.

As part of our ‘Natural disasters’ topic we discussed how we could make an easy shelter to keep us warm and dry. We also discussed what basic things we need to survive

E.g shelter, food, water and warmth. We even had time to practise some basic first aid techniques to help people in need. What a busy afternoon!
