Today we identified reversible and irreversible changes in every day life.
We agreed that cooking an egg was an irreversible change and that the egg had changed from a liquid into a solid. However melting an ice cube was a reversible change because you can change the melted water into a solid ice cube again by freezing it.
Other examples of an irreversible changes are burning paper in the fire and making a cake.
At Forest school we predicted which materials would burn in the fire causing an irreversible change and also which materials that wouldn’t burn causing no change.
