After talking about the engineers Richard Trevithick and Isambard Kingdom Brunel we were inspired to solve our own engineering challenge in Forest school. We had to devise a way to safely transport water from one side of Forest school to the other, using the equipment we had available at Forest school.
It took a lot of team work, perseverance, trial and error and clear communication within the groups to complete the challenge.




Year one loved splashing in the puddles. Look at the sheer joy and delight on their faces!

We even got caught in a hail storm and we had to dash to take cover in the reading hut! What a dramatic end to our adventurous afternoon.
